Built from the ground up, the Thrifty Nova is the first ever motor controller from The Thrifty Bot! The Nova is a brushless DC motor controller made to be as user-friendly and robust as possible. Featuring USB and CAN functionality, the Nova allows users to run their brushless motors without needing the full FRC control system while also being fully legal for FRC use for the 2025 season!

Quality Control:
Every single Nova will undergo final assembly, testing, and inspection in Lapeer, Michigan. Serial numbers will be written to memory and a sticker of the serial number will be placed on the inside of the case prior to shipping to customers.
Thrifty Config:
Thrifty Config is our USB client for the Thrifty Novas, which allows for viewing and setting parameters. It also allows for running of the Novas for testing without an FRC control system, as demonstrated below.
